Since Demi has left Sonny with a Chance to pursue some other projects, it has changed it’s name to So Random and is scheduled to be back on the air on the Disney Channel on June 5, 2011 at 8:30pm!

The stars of the show are Sterling Knight as Chad Dylan Cooper, Allisyn Ashley Arm as Zora Lancaster, Tiffany Thornton as Tawni Hart, Brandon Mychal Smith as Nico Harris, and Doug Brochu as Grady Mitchell.

Demi Lovato is taking a chance. The teen star – who entered treatment for “physical and emotional issues” last October – will not be returning to her hit Disney Channel series, Sonny with a Chance.

“It made sense for me to go ahead and leave the show to focus on my music,” Lovato, 18, tells PEOPLE in this week’s issue. “It’s kind of sad for me that a chapter of my life has ended but there couldn’t be a better time for me to move on.”

“I don’t think going back to Sonny would be healthy for my recovery,” says Lovato, who returned to Los Angeles in January after completing three months of residential treatment. “Being in front of a camera would make me nervous.”

And she has the support of the Disney Channel.

“We respect Demi’s decision to focus fulltime on her music and not immediately return to her acting career,” a rep for the Disney Channel said in a statement. “She is a talented young woman and our hearts are with her as she continues to take action to improve her health and bounce back from adversity.”

Lovato’s career took off after starring in the Disney Channel’s 2008 original movie Camp Rock, opposite the Jonas Brothers. Next came Sonny with a Chance, which debuted in 2010. But even without its main star, the show will still go on: the series is being reinvented as a sketch comedy program called So Random!, which will debut in June.

Lovato, who will continue to record under Disney’s label Hollywood Records, calls her decision to walk away from her TV gig “nerve-racking.” But, she says, “I’m really excited to see where everything goes.”

Demi Lovato’s departure on her television show Sonny With a Chance appears to be permanent. In a decision that has Demi fans really upset, Disney Channel has completely changed the name of the hit show for season 3. Now called So Random the show appears to be continuing with the filming excluding Sonny.

Her fall from grace has been an extraordinarily disappointing road, but there has been hope. Demi, who plays the lead character, was admitted to treatment last year to address undisclosed personal problems after an incident on the Jonas Brothers Live Concert Tour. She has since been seen out with her family and is known to be working on her issues.

The official word of her departure was that it was temporary and she would be able to rejoin the cast once she was well enough to return. This apparent change of the show name has everyone realizing she won’t be returned for reasons yet unknown.

As with any big network who has a younger audience it wouldn’t be surprising if Demi’s actions during her time on the tour violated her contract. Keeping a close eye on the personal and professional conduct of a celebrity, especially a Disney star, is a nothing new. However will all the celebrities who have fallen from grace recently, enforcing the code of conduct has been a new road for the networks. If this happened it would release her from the show and the network would be able to do as they please.

Demi won’t be keeping her fans in the dark for too long. An official announcement from her is scheduled on Cambio for March 7. She is expected to address the issues of the show as well as let the fans know how she is doing after her treatment.

Hey guys, we have no news regarding Demi leaving treatment. On the other hand, E! News confirmed on So True or So False if whether or not Demi will return to her show Sonny With a Chance when she finishes the treatment. And the answer? Of course she will!

As you all know, Demi is and has been in a treatment center for months, seeking help for “emotional issues.” Although her rep has said she will be released sometime after the New Year, we assume it to be sooner than later because her show, Sonny with a Chance, starts shooting in a few weeks! Disney says the show is scheduled to begin it’s production the week of January 30, 2011. Nevertheless, Demi isn’t expected to be there for the first several weeks spent shooting So Random! sketches. I hope Demi is released and working soon. I can’t for her upcoming projects!
